Overview
Workplace Health and Safety Representatives (WHSRs) assist in the
consultation and cooperation processes by representing the views
of workers and communicating these up the chain of responsibility
to supervisors and management. This course is intended to give participants
the necessary skills and knowledge to perform this role while also
satisfying the requirements of the Workplace Health & Safety
Act (Qld) 1995.
Target Audience
• Any worker elected as a WHS Representative and wishes to
gain the knowledge and skill about the legislation and how to perform
their role.
• Any person who is on the WHS Committee for their workplace
who wishes to gain the knowledge and skill about the legislation
and how to perform their role.
Entry Requirements
There are no restrictions on entry requirements to this course,
however it is preferred that students have at least an intermediate
level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills.
Course overview: This
course will cover:WHSR01B Identify
and apply relevant workplace health and safety information. WHSR02BIdentify
hazards and control risks in the workplace and WHSR03BRepresent
workers in the workplace health and safety consultation mechanisms
and WHSR04A Issuing Provisional Improvement
Notices PINS.
Please note that WHSR04A PINS Training
(3 hours) is only available to those who have successfully completed
the course 30630QLD "Functioning as a WHS Representative. WHSR04A
can be a stand alone training course or incorporated into 30630QLD.
Cost $495.00(Rockhampton), includes
manual, morning tea and lunch.
This course is available in Emerald, Gladstone,
Bundaberg, Maryborough & Hervey Bay, Barcaldine, Longreach,
Winton, Mackay, Townsville or any town/city within Queensland. In-house
training is available. Minimum numbers will apply.

First Aid courses
If you
would like First Aid courses or refresher
courses delivered in house please contact our office for suitable
dates and costings. A minimum number will be required to hold courses.
The units are now from the Cert. II
in Emergency Medical Service First Responce which
has replaced the former Senior First Aid(30117QLD) held here in
Queensland. The units are are;
HLTFA301B Apply
First Aid; HLTCPR301B Perform CPR. and HLTFA201A Provide basic emergency
life support.
